Mexican clay chimeneas have been perfected over centuries of use and are the most efficient chimenea burners. The clay gets very hot quickly and can retain the heat for a long time afterwards making them amazing patio heaters. 

The clay heats up so quickly that large roaring fires are not needed they can simply heat up with a small gentle fire.
